The boring list, which is the important one
Every site gets the same foundations, whatever it costs: fast on a phone, found on Google, in two languages, and yours to keep.
Design that isn't a template
I draw the layout around what you actually sell. If you have one thing to sell, you get one page. I am not going to pad it out to five to justify the invoice.
Written in plain HTML and CSS
No framework and no 400 KB of JavaScript to show a phone number. Sites like this survive being ignored for three years, which is what usually happens to them.
Works on a nine-year-old phone
Tested on real devices, throttled to slow 4G. Keyboard navigable, screen reader labelled, readable at 200% zoom. This is not charity. It is about a third of your visitors.
Found on Google Maps first
For a local business the Maps listing matters more than the website. I set up the schema markup, the business profile, and the handful of things that decide whether you show up in "near me".
Croatian and English, properly
Not machine translated. Each language gets its own address with correct hreflang, so Google shows Croatian searchers the Croatian page. This site works exactly that way.
You own all of it
Domain in your name, hosting in your account, code in a repository you control. If you decide in month four that you hate me, you take the whole thing and go, and I'll help you move it.
How it goes
Four to six weeks, and you are busy for about three hours of it
- 1
A call, thirty minutes
Mostly me asking who calls you and why they pick you over the place next door. Keep the whole half hour free. The useful part tends to come near the end.
Day 0 - 2
A price and a scope, on one page
Fixed number, what is in it, what is not, and the date. Want to change something after we start? I tell you what it costs before I touch it. There is no surprise invoice at the end.
Day 2 - 3
The homepage, real, in your browser
Not a Figma file and not a PDF. A working page on a temporary link. You look at it on your own phone, in your own kitchen, and tell me what is wrong. Two rounds of changes are included.
Week 2 - 4
Launch, and then I am on the hook
I move the domain, set up the mail, check it all works, and stay reachable for 30 days for anything broken. Broken means broken, at no charge. New ideas are a new job.
Week 4 to 6
Fixed prices, from 450 €.
See what each one includes, or tell me what you need and get a price within 24 hours.
